It was in 1950, in view of organizing Sarbojanani Shardiya Durgotsav in the area of Malancha, Kharagpur , the need of an organization was felt for the smooth execution of all such social & cultural celebrations, with this intention on 23rd January 1950, three philanthropists of the area Late Subodh Chandra Bhattacharjee, Late Bibhuti Bhusan Banerjee and Late Sudhir Chandra Moitra laid the foundation stone of Balaji Mandir Pally Unnayan Samity. The seed they sowed, gradually with the passage of time, extended its branches all around and grown into a tree. From the desk of Secretary
It gives me immense pleasure and a sense of pride to be the secretary of such an organization which is well known for its social & cultural activities round the year. Balaji Mandir Pally Unnayan Samity came into existence on 23rd January 1950 and since the very first day of its inception BMPUS has established its worthiness by conducting number of social & cultural activities.
The spread of COVID-19 has proved that still we are too helpless to survive if we fail to follow the tune of Nature. Since February 2020 the whole world has been in the ghastly grip of Corona virus. The uncertainty and despair due to different reasons has left a major share of the population helpless and they have been in the urgent need of the support of those who are well to do, I think it’s our moral duty to support the poor and needy people in this hour of need,
